1. For a pipe, no matter how many bends there are, no matter what the bending angle is (should not be greater than 180°C), its bending radius should be the best uniform.


2. The minimum bending radius depends on the material properties, the bending angle, the allowable amount of thinning on the outside of the tube wall after bending, the size of the inner wrinkle, and the size of the ovality at the bend.

4. The small bending radius can make the direction of the tube shape flexible and adaptable. For large-diameter engines and large aircraft, a slightly larger bending radius can be selected when the pipeline arrangement is relatively loose. Because a large bending radius is conducive to bending and forming, it is beneficial to bend pipes.


5. The so-called multi-pipe-one-die means that the pipes of the same diameter should use the same bending radius as much as possible. That is, using the same set of molds to bend tubes of different shapes. In this way, it is beneficial to compress the special process equipment to the maximum extent, reduce the manufacturing volume of the bending die, and thus reduce the production cost.


6. Under normal circumstances, only one bending radius is used for pipes of the same diameter, which may not be able to meet the assembly needs of the actual position. Therefore, 2 to 4 bending radii can be selected for pipes of the same diameter to meet the actual needs. If the bending radius is 2D (where D is the outer diameter of the tube), then 2D, 2.5D, 3D, and 4D can be used.
